Downtown Butler is "revitalizing."
A micro brewery / restaurant is scheduled to go in at the corner of
Main and Jefferson where Thrift Drug
used to be. The Hot Dog Shop will eventually be torn down, according to the Pittsburgh Post Gazette.

I LOLed at this comment made by a Butler booster.

The insights provided by these types will come back to haunt them when, beneath Butler, there is found to contain enough natural gas to make every one a millionaire.

Not bad. I like the color scheme.

My dad owned 6 small oil wells in Butler and Summit County. The natural gas that came out before the actual oil was usually piped into the homeowner who owned the land. Usually my dad only owned the well and not the land. Oil was piped into a small "silo" nearby and then bought up by the bigger oil companies when it was full.

I think what is needed is another dollar store for downtown. Maybe they could bring in a Pappans, or Eat-n-Park, or Troutmans, or a JC Penney, Woolworths, or Wards. Did anyone think of that?

Are you the same Morissey that pooped your pants back in '93?

I believe this to be the orginal site of Troutman's Department Store before they tore the old hotel at the corner of Cunningham and Main in 1890.

This had been the site of Winters Drug store owned by A.J. Winters.

Isn't that a Tom Panei painting above the awning?
