My grandpa used to race down that street all the time! His nickname was ‘The Amazing Menace’! He was always racing down that hill! It went on for years until he had bad diarrhea one time and it got on the roadway and his tires skidded into a building. He broke his spleen in 5 different places.

Can anyone tell me what intersection this is near? Does that street sign in the back say Elm? Thanks
That is correct. The racers are approaching Monroe street which is the bottom of the hill.

This was great stuff. Do they still do it?
I remember this. It was a great happening in the summer time and kids dreamed of having their own racer.

I remember my friend, Ricky Bobby. He was an amazing roadster. He won a lot when he got older. I haven’t heard from him in a while. Class of 1989.
