A lot of buildings on Main Street have been torn down since I left Butler. Can't be helped, I know, but still it kinda pains me....

The Worsley corner is gone; the Woolworth corner is gone; Sun Drug corner is gone; Hot Dog Shop and Dillon's Meat Market gone; Natili's South is gone (although not torn down as I understand it). Penny's, Troutman's, Jaffe's, The Hub, Aland's, Douthett & Graham, Honse, all gone as well. Man, I'm gettin' old!!

the place caught fire after one of the upstairs tenants left something on the stove. I walked past it earlier that day while I was going to eat lunch at burger hut.

I really miss that store. I use to buy all my paint and wallpaper there. The employees were always helpful. They went out of business prior to the fire, another casualty to Lowe's and Home Depot. Nothing stays the same, sad.
